How to Write Compelling Headlines That Get Attention and Get Clicks

Where do you start when you want to write compelling headlines for your copy?  How do you actually go about it?  This is a question that we get almost every single day.  So in this blog post, I will try and make it easy for you to write a compelling headline.

1. Use strong action words: Use words that create a sense of urgency or excitement, such as “discover,” “uncover,” “reveal,” etc.
2. Be specific: Use numbers, statistics, or other specific details to make the headline more interesting and credible.
3. Use numbers: Numbers can be used to make headlines more specific and credible.
4. Ask a question: Asking a question can make the headline more intriguing and encourage the reader to click through to find the answer.
5. Create a sense of urgency: Use words and phrases that convey a sense of urgency, such as “breaking,” “urgent,” “just in,” etc.
6. Keep it short and simple: Keep the headline short and to the point, so that it is easy to read and understand.

  1. “Discover the 7 Proven Strategies for Increasing Your Sales in 30 Days”
  2. “Breaking: New Study Reveals the Surprising Link Between Sleep and Weight Loss”
  3. “Just In: Experts Reveal the Top 3 Secrets to Achieving Financial Success”
  4. “Urgent: The One Thing You Need to Do to Protect Your Online Privacy Today”
  5. “Uncover the Surprising Benefits of Intermittent Fasting: How to Boost Your Metabolism and Improve Your Health in Just 30 Days”

Curiosity-based headlines:

These are headlines that lead with an element of curiosity.

  1. “What Really Happened During the Roswell UFO Incident? Uncover the Truth”
  2. “The Secret History of the Mona Lisa: Discover the Fascinating Story Behind the World’s Most Famous Painting”
  3. “Are You Making This Deadly Mistake in Your Diet? Find Out Now”
  4. “Could This Ancient Practice Hold the Key to Unlocking Limitless Energy and Productivity? Find out Here”
  5. “What Really Lies at the Bottom of the Bermuda Triangle? Scientists Reveal All”

Urgency-based Headlines
